John,
I'm curious if you know the extent of Elliott Donnelley's involvement with the Black Hills Central. I had seen his name in reference to the 7's tenure in Hill City, though wasn't sure how big of a hand he had in the entire operation itself.
I have talked with volunteers from Hesston and seen the strides that have been made over the past 20 years since the fire (most recently, in particular, with the Brookfield Zoo equipment and the 14" gauge line) Keep it up.
