Another winner. Thanks. I wish I could get my system to print all the pages of the aerial photo but it insists on giving me only page one.
Found some additional information on the early Chama sawmills in Eleanor Daggett's book"Chama". Still have not sorted it all out but she says an "E.K. Caldwell" built the first mill before the RR arived on the river flat if you believe where Sandia shows it in their 1881 map. About oposite the Burns Store. He an Burns latter combined forces on another mill which sounds like it predates athe Laws mill. Then there is a gap to 1940 and the Pound Bros Lumber Co.
