453 in Silver and Green

Looking for information as to why 453 was painted with a Silver Underframe and a green boiler. A picure of this can be found in "The Mudhens" by Dennis O'Berry on Page 47. The Richardson photo was taken on Oct 3, 1951.
Any info is helpfull
