And it should be metioned that the author of TRAINS TO YOSEMITE is Jack Burgess, who has built one of the great HO model railroads following the Yosemite Valley. Because of all the reseach he had to do to build his HO railroad, he could use it to write his book. It's a well known fact that many of the better railroad history books are written by model railroaders. They seem to have a better understanding of locomotives, cars, and daily operations than do most non-model railroad authors that can bore you to death with the corporate history of the railroad.
