McCloud Ry. Abandonment

I know, it isn't narrow gauge, but railroads like this are rare and becoming rarer.
From the Altamontpress Discussion Forum -
"The first part of the application to abandon the McCloud Railway (Environmental Materials) was filed with the STB today (19 April ).
STB docket number is AB-914-0-X.
This filing should be for the complete abandonment and removal of the entire railroad east of McCloud, with common carrier service suspended on the McCloud-Mt. Shasta City trackage."
Obviously this will end their little remaining freight service, yet the dinner train should continue to operate for the forseeable future between Mcloud and Mt. Shasta.
A classic California mountain short line is soon to be but memory (and a beautiful cinder lined trail...).
Now back to our regularly scheduled narrow gauge programing.
