Unexpected colorfest

THE aspen change this time of year , and ,of course ,it is very spectacular .Also other decidous trees change ,including the Gambel oak .The oak turn red and orange as well as yellow , a nd the short trees cover many hillsides between the 6000-8500 ft. elevation .Old timers in Chama and Durango agree that the oak are brighter in color this year than any previous year in memory .
