According to track diagrams from the Colorado R.R. Museum the three track yard at the stock pens had two three way stub switches. One located at each end. Otto Perry has several views of this area and photos are on line at the Western History Dept site. Machines of Iron video "Gunninson" shows the same scene in action. In one of the Grandt books there are several shots of the stock pens and the loading of sheep; photos are by Lee. Track diagrams may also be found in the soft back book D&RGW Summer 1941. Hope this helps. In addition there was a spur here off the three yard trackage before the stock pens.
