Done that too, crossing the street, with the light, with the little green (or white) "walk" dude fully lit - not flashing - I reached out and hit the car that missed me by that much.
One guy even stopped, got out and proceeded to crawl around looking under his car to try to figure out what had just gone "bump". He didn't even look at me.
Another time a guy in a wheelchair asked me if I could give him a hand crossing the street, he was new to wheelchairs and didn't think he could make it before the light turned against him. While we were waiting, he confided that he would have to get used to it, he'd been hit crossing a street a few months before and that he was going to be sitting for the rest of his life. But at least he'd survived.
