Recently the D&S sold a work box number 04466 and it was hauled off thursday. There remains another work box on the property to be moved this spring. Both cars were used in Rotary service and bore the number 04466. See pages 126 and 127 of Grandt's book on Numbered Work Cars of the D&RGW. They are two different cars with windows and stoves in different locations and with different style trucks.
The question is why did they both have the same number as displayed in Grandt's book? Any thoughts? Help!
