Hi, All -
Along with Ernie Robart, one of the "regulars" in the very sparse photo lines over Cumbres from '66 through '68 was Olaf Rasmussen, who would drive all the way from his job at the Hanford Atomic whatever-it-was in eastern Washington to Chama at the drop of a hat. Olaf and his car are featured in Ernie's book at the top of page 86 - I didn't make the cut - and his car is in one of my own favorite shots (below) taken the following year. I haven't seen nor heard of Olaf since the last freights in August of 1968, and would appreciate hearing from him or from anyone who knows his whereabouts. (Auf Englische, bitte.)

p.s. The nearest German equivalent to "Foamer" is "DampfLokomotivenLeibHaber" ... 'nuff said?
