My first trip ever to see all of that stuff happened in 1993. We were down on the west side of Cerro Summit (actually in the Valley) looking at the remains of one of the bridges. It was about 8:45 PM and as we were shooting pictures bullets started whizzing overhead. I assume from the "pops" we heard that it was a .22 but someone was apparently not too happy that we were there. I imagine there were 18 to 20 shots fired by the time we were able to clear out. Anyone else had that happen around that area?
