Huckleberry RR receives Trackwork Grant

The Huckleberry Railroad in Flint, Michigan has been awarded a Grant of $275,000 from the State of Michigan's Art, Cultural, & Quality of Life Grant Program. We applied for this grant once it looked like we would not receive the TEA-21 grant we applied for last fall. This will purchase and install 5,000 ties along with lining, surfacing, some ditching, and some bridge repairs. I would like to thank all those who wrote letters of support - we used the package we had put together for the TEA-21 application to apply for this grant. Marty Knox CMO/HRR

The NGDF was started by Don Richter and is currently operated in his memory by Nathan Holmes and others.
