I noticed in at least two of the pictures shown at the link provided by WP&Y Mike that electrical conduits on the cab roofs were clearly on the outside (top of the roof), not on the inside.
I've never seen that on any K-28 before. Ever.
I'd be curious about the possibility that one of the engines was like that, or if all of them were modified for some reason in Alaska. Seems strange that in both of the pictures that show the cab roofs, the conduits were exposed.
