I think that possibly many of the appliances for the 346 have yet to be rebuilt. This would need to happen before reassembly.
There are a myriad of projects to be done at the Museum right now. Many cars were repainted last summer that had needed it for years. There is a noticeable difference to the looks around the property in many ways. Lots of additional storage track had to be built to hold the Loop equipment, and some new standard gauge locos and stock too.
As always, a lot of these things come down to the availability of money and man-hours.
