WW&F Season begins

The WW&F Railway Museum's summer season began Saturday May 26th. The star attraction was, of course, locomotive #10.
#10 was newly painted and lettered the day before. Cab work was finished early Saturday morning. Running boards were installed in between trips (they look really nice).
Saturday was a nice, sunny day. Hardly anyone showed up. Today (Sunday) it rained and we had a fair group of people. Tomorrow's weather is supposed to be unsettled. The season usually starts pretty slow for us, so we're not too worried.
#10 is performing well, but doesn't steam as quickly as she used to. Not surprising with the new tubes. Before, you threw a scoopful of coal in and the pressure started to climb immediately. Now you have a wait a few minutes for it to take effect.
Over the next month or so our new track will be put into service, now that the labor spent on #10 can be used elsewhere.
I hope to have some pictures available by the end of the week or so.
