After sitting in Central Park in Boulder, Colorado for almost 50 years, the front tender truck on this locomotive was nearing collapse. The wood beams had rotted and the steel plates in between were beginning to buckle. The Boulder County Railroad Historical Society applied for an historical grant with matching funds from the City of Boulder. The work was completed recently by Uhrich Locomotive Works, and we re-installed the truck last Sunday (May 20, 2001). Check out some photos:
