AT&SF Narrow Gauge Locos

August 27, 2000 06:18PM
A few months back, there was an inquiry about the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad loco called "Little Buttercup," originally a narrow gauge Hinkley 4-4-0. My response led to a dead end due to a change in e-mail servers, so I wanted to repeat it with my new e-mail address. I have written an article "Narrow Gauge Locomotives of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad" detailing the histories of the three narrow gauge roads associated with the expansion of the AT&SF. In addition to the locos serving on the Royal Gorge line, there were small rosters of locos on the Silver City, Deming & Pacific and the Denver Circle.
I'd be glad to send a copy of my three page article as published in the R&LHS Newsletter in 1998 to anyone interested in the subject of these obscure little locomotives.
