I have a question regarding the Pagosa Springs branch. Wen you follow the dirt road north out of Pagosa Jct/Gato, is the RR grade and the dirt road one and the same? I followed it north for about 5 miles back in 1995 and remember seeing grade for a short distance and even some old pilings but not much else. Are there any other artifacts such as old trestles, tank footings or otherwise? Is the Pagosa Springs depot still standing? Where was it located? Is it worth the drive? I traced the dirt road from P. Jct To P. Springs on Terraserver but only see a couple of spots that might possibly be grade.
