CG&P's third gauge was 5 ft. 2 1/2 in or Pennsylvania wide gauge trolley. It was used by wide gauge cars that went to Coney Island Amusement Park from downtown Cincinnati. Since the Cincinnati streetcar lines were wide gauge, the CG&P cars were built to that gauge. This allowed one car ride to Coney Island.
The standard gauge line lasted into 1937 and a branch to the water works lasted into WW II. The 4 rail lasted about 2 years during the conversion from 3 ft. to standard gauge in 1903. The wide gauge didn't last till the end of the railroad.
