It's ironic that CHS tries to preserve historic landmarks, when all they want is to be in it for monet. Atleast to make a dollar on something that has been around arund for longer than we were ever thought to have existed. This plan to make it rich off land, that has took a million plus years to grow, is a fantasy. Thhis fantasy will never become reality. Reality is a thing of the past, present and future. These things cannot be preserved in a fanasy. therfore, they need to realize that to operate a successful, historically speaking, business you have to live for the future @ present. Not for the past. No successfulness has been procured by living past means. This being said, CHS has to know what they are talking about and also know what they know about the trade, to know what the hell they are doing. To be in business with with thousands of customers, they have to have the knowledge of actually operating an approximately 65 ton engine. That an be disastorous to the public. As well as themselves. If the engine is not up to government standards, they could put thousands of tourists in a dangerous situation. This could be detramental to the line. In order to be successfull, CHS has to have knowledge of the trade they are in. And to have no previous knowledge on how a railroad is actually ran, they will therfore fail to build a successful line. There can be no substitution for the services that the Ashby's and Gresky's have provided to the community of Clear Creek Count.
