I flew into Denver today and on my way to Georgetown, I stopped at Idaho Springs where a pair of coverall clad gents were hard at work pulling parts off of 60 and taking measurements of the air tanks, cylinder head covers, main rod crankpin width etc. They seemed to be assessing whether parts could be reused or not as they were going over air tank construction type, vintage, and so on. One in particular was very knowledgeable about the details in question. Whether this is the first stages of the CHS' planned restoration remains to be seen. One must admit that it is a bit odd that two men were climbing all over the engine with a tape measure.
