Sam,
As it said in the article, somebody is trying to blame them ofr the fire.
If they admit the least culpability, they will be in court so fast that it will make your head spin. In these days of over-litigation, the best thing is not to fess up and take it like a man, the best thing is to keep shut up and let those shiny-shoed lawyers prove that you're guilty. Haven't those huge judgments against McDonald's, the Gun manufacturers, the Auto Manufacturers, the Tobacco companies, Johns Manville, Dow Corning... etc., etc. Taught us anything???
