Curry Branch Walk

I just got back from Sumpter, and have to say that when the Curry Branch is rebuilt it's going to be an amazing ride. In some ways it's very similiar to the D&S or the C&TS, lots of canyons and forests and such, but then there are parts that just blow you away. My favorite area that I saw is where the line comes out of a forest on to a moutain peak. You pass through a cut, and your looking down in to a valley 500 feet below. You continue around the curve and your looking about 1500 feet down into the Sumpter Valley. Quite majestic. There are also huge 100 foot high fills, and big S-curve cuts that are 40 feet deep, and its all on about a 2 percent grade. I didn't get to see the whole line, but got a pretty good impression from what I did see.
