Why the K-37

I realize there is something strange in my thinking process. I have not ridden behind any K Series locomotive yet and for some reason I want my first ride to be behind a K-37. My first trip will be this summer so I know that a K-36 is the best I can hope for as they are the ones being restored right now. I am also aware that restoring and operating K-37s is a more daunting task. I suppose that it really doesn't make all that much difference but I still want a ride behind a more rigid, harder to maintain, K-37. What's wrong with me?
