John,
The Union creek extension is six miles long incorporating three miles of original SVRy mainline heading east from Mc Ewen to the edge of phillips reservoir near the site of Curry. From there three miles of new grade will be built to the forest service camp ground at Union Creek.
The project will include several bridges, trestles and plenty of cut and fill work as well as a ballon loop at the campground.
The project also includes moving the present Mc Ewen depot to Union Creek and the constuction of a larger Mc Ewen depot, several new passenger cars and money to rebuild mikado # 20.
The estimates on this project are around 15.5 million dollars.
Hope this answers your questions .......Jerry
