I read a piece once by a guy was talking about his boyhood In Spokane, Washington in the 1915-1930 period. I remember he wrote that they considered it great fun, as School Boys, to "soap" up the rails on the trolley car lines heading up the South Hill there. Cars would spin & stall, boys would giggle & laugh and then take off before the motorman caught them.
