Pretty neat hike Olaf, and thanks for the post. Too bad so much of the turntable has been removed - to what advantage would people do that? I had hoped to hike this year with the Ridgway RR history folks who have done some restoration work up there, but it’ll have to wait until such time that travel opens up again. IIR they restored the Guston “depot” and platform, and a length of Silverton RR track. Maybe someone can elaborate on the work previously done.
