Years ago I was at the California State Railway Museum and was in the theater watching one of the opening films. In the theater was a class of I think junior high students and they were discussing about building the Central Pacific over Donner Pass. I was impressed as I think we had maybe a few days about local history when I went to school (60's to 70's), and nothing on trains.
