I tried to search for threads about D&RGW 223 and our restoration efforts but got no results. I hope this information gets into the right hands.
Some time ago I received this message via email.
Hello Steve,
Just checking in about 223. I saw where John Bush picked up a truck load of tools donated to the C&TS. Over on the Narrow Gauge Discussion Forum, there is a lively thread going on about the 223. A couple of people have asked for contact information on where they can send letters in support of 223 going to the C&TS. If you think it appropriate and helpful, perhaps you could post information on the NGDF where people might send letters.
Otherwise, I’m surely hoping the 223 follows the tools and equipment to the C&TS. Seems like a win-win for all!
Thanks!

We are working with John Bush to make at least one additional trip to pick up the rest of our tools and equipment that we donated to the C&TS. I am sure they will be put to good use.
The R&LHS Golden Spike Chapter continues to advocate for 223 to go to the C&TS where we are sure it will find a good home and loving care.
As Bill suggested here is where you can send letters of support:
