These are by far the best photos I have ever seen of the Mt. Washington Cog Railway. Well done, Kevin!
There is a good reason why excellent photos of this operation are so rare - the conditions required to navigate in achieving these photos are extremely harsh. Kevin touches on it in his descriptions and in his reply above - but even then it seems understated.
I've visited The Cog many times over the years, but haven't brought myself to make the trip after the (mostly) dieselization. I want to remember it as it appeared in Kevin's 2008 photos, complete with the hand-throw switches, all-wood trestlework, light rail, and more steam than one can imagine.
