Not all of the stone foundation walls are intact.
Here's the remains of a enamel coated cooking pot:
This type of pot became popular in the late 1800's so this item could date back to the earliest days of the section house.
Here's a nice view looking up towards Bighorn Peak from the track approaching the section house location:
You can see the original stone marker denoting the state line next to the large metal sign.
The track work performed in the last 20 years is amazing. When I worked on the railroad there was nowhere that it looked this straight. It almost looks more like model railroad flex track than the real thing...
