As mentioned a few weeks ago, the third photo above is my favorite from your entire two days of chasing on December 5 & 6, 1967 — exactly one year before the very last D&RGW operations between Alamosa and Durango. Here's a cropped version taken from the original hi-res scan after rotating 1.5° right that IMHO could only be better if the original had been taken with a real sharp tripod-mounted telephoto: *

I even cropped an Ansel Adams print a few years ago . . .
