Re: NNG - Final runs on the Camas Prairie Grangeville line

I had the pleasure of following one the Grangeville grain shuttles in August of 2000. We knew the line was going to be shutting down and wanted to see it before the end. Absolutely astounding piece of railroad. It's a shame that it was so far off the tourist trail that excursion business was very scant. I'll share these shots taken during that trip. Olaf got the spectacular views on the high line. Those are not easy to get. So, I'll show the more accessible locations. The first is one of many trestles in Lapwai Canyon. The second is where the line crosses over the highway before rounding the loop and heading the opposite direction. The trestles in Olaf's shots can be seen in the distance. The fourth shot is the spectacular Lawyer Canyon steel trestle just outside Craigmont, ID.
