This is sad news indeed for all of us here in Chama in general and on the railroad in particular.
I enjoyed his company and the conversations we shared over the last few years.
When it came to mechanical information and assistance with internal combustion he was a big help to me/us here.
Beyond that he was a major cheerleader for the railroad.
He had significant physical and health challenges but as these increased over time his attitude remained strong and positive.
He proved the old adage (attributed to Lincoln I believe) that most people are as happy as they decide to be.
I will miss seeing him.
