Jimmy’s post says the excursion was a “Cimarron Turn” from Gunnison, so I gather it didn't go right thru to Montrose. I wonder if the line was permanently severed by that time. I’m sure some books or our earlier thread has when the last train actually went right through. On that thread ( I can never find these), someone had said the closure was planned, and I suppose maintenance simply ceased on the land slip section. It’s still visible today as I recall.
