The Norton issue with the www.drhs315.org website is likely a result of the lack of 'secure' protocol "https" used for that site. (http vs https)

Of course, sending a paper check via US Mail eliminates any concerns around website security. A check payment also means that #315 gets more of your contribution as there are no PayPal fees involved. Even when the donation website does not necessarily extract a fee from the donor, they certainly do keep a piece of the donation as credit card processing is never free.
While mailing a personal paper check does cost a stamp, if you use a bank/credit union "bill pay" feature to send a check, there is typically no fee to the user or the recipient of the funds.
