NNG- A Rail Beetle with streamlined fenders

In the 1970s VW Beetles were great cars for chasing the narrow gauge over rough backroads, but it appears they also made excellent vehicles for riding the rails, as seen here on a branch line in Germany. With those streamlined fenders I suppose they could make a good turn of speed. And with steel wheels, no need to make allowances for changing out a flat tire.
