Well said Michael. The Cumbres Idea has no merit for a starting point at this time. If you really wanted to get creative you could run a side trip from Osier to Cumbres and back during the lunch stop at Osier.
That would be an extra fee of course. Another option would be to run Antonito to Cumbres and back to Antonito one or two days a week at a more expensive ticket price of course. Would probably lengthen the total trip by 2-3 hours by the time you turn the engine at Cumbres. Would provide a photo op for riders and get to see 50 miles of railroad twice.

Are they currently turning everything on the Osier loop or just the engine? When do they do this, during lunch, or after everyone boards and just leave from the loop? Curiosity on my part?
