IIRC, the top of the pass is only a 45-minute bus ride from Antonito, Guy -
But the number of persons riding a bus would be limited. so it might be preferable for familes to drive separately to Cumbres - each in their own car.
How many passengers could be accommodated on the train? And how far would it go — just to the loop at Osier; all the way to a turn-around on the wye at Big Horn; or only to Sublette, where the loco could run around the train and pull it back to Cumbres? (Pushing a long string of coaches uphill is NOT recommended.)
