I actually saw the band live. I had to check online and found the date for the Cincinnati Gardens... August 24, 1973. A friend asked me if I wanted to go to the concert and he provided a date as well as paying for. The date was a dud, and the acoustics were terrible in that place. We were in the back standing most of the time. I like a lot of their tunes, but this concert was not a fun experience. Only positive was I didn't have to pay for it!!!! I have seen a few reunion "Chicago" concert deals on cable and they were just a few years ago. Sounded pretty good I thought!
On a side Note went to See Led Zeppelin in Cincinnati 1977. This was before the "WHO" came here and some people got crushed trying to get in...."End of festival seating". I was about 5-6 people deep from the door for the Zeppelin concert, and I can see how that future tragedy could take place. There were pushing surges off and on, and I was glad to be a big guy when that was happening. Best concert ever for me was Neil Young, right after he did "After the Gold Rush". Saw a little paragraph in the Sunday Paper, and mailed in for a couple tickets. Got 4th row in front of the stage. Great performance too!
I know more info than you wanted to know and nothing to do with Trains!!!
