Central City filming with Chicago the Band question?

Not sure if this has been asked before, was watching a sound bite of Chicago the Band with Terry Kath that was filmed in Central City RR in either 1973 or 74, in this mini film entitled, Meanwhile back at the Ranch, they were using a narrow gauge Shay as the Locomotive in the silent movie section of this film. It seemed to me that part of the footage was done on a flat spot that had a wide open area with no mountains in the background, was this also along the Central City RR?
