A brighter break in story.
Friends of my parents had their lap-top computer stolen from their car whilst it was parked at a Devonshire beauty spot many miles from home. The thieves had emptied the glove box etc. looking for valuables and finally found the lap-top which was in the trunk. The police were not able to do anything, but they were insured so no financial loss.
The tragedy though was the loss of thousands of photographs of grandchildren, family events, nothing backed up, just about 10 years of the grandkids growing up.
Two weeks after the break-in, they received in the mail a couple of cd's with all their documents and photos copied and a note saying "thought you could use these"
