I think the location of the lake side running is on the east side of the gap, Victor Lake, since the train is heading east on the south side of the lake. Here is a picture giving a broader view of the lake and the mountains south of the lake, that may make identification more positive.
As long as we are still following 2816 in that beautiful mountain country of British Columbia and Alberta, here are a few more views of that run. Hopefully 2816 will run again some day even with the current obsession with Precision Scheduled Railroading.
