So when did 453 get the switcher pilot? Bachmann modelled it with the switcher pilot but I bought a road pilot to replace it to better represent 453 as a road engine. Also, did 452 have a boiler color other than black? I have the Bachmann 455, and I changed out the roof and a couple of other minor details to and reinvent it as 452. So, I'm thinking I need to change the boiler color? I also have the tricolor herald on the tender, a bit of whimsy, I'm sure. I'd like to backdate Bachmann's 346 to it's "in-service" post-derailment appearance rather than the full fluted domes. Any suggestions?
