Continuing our exploration:
The trestle originally had about 10 bents. There were two footings of bents still in place. Here's one of them:

I had hiked to the end of this spur back in August, but thought I'd re-check to see if the was any possibility of the grade going further:
Nope, the grade definitely ends at the base of Signal Peak. There were several skid roads heading out into the woods, but no further railroad grade here.
There was one more option for a grade which might go to Roundtree Saddle: just before the trestle location was another un-mapped grade heading downhill (southwest) towards the bottom of the ridge the incline was located on. I has seen this last summer, but didn't have time to check it out. I started down this grade and found a large amount of it was covered in brush and small trees. Here's a view a couple hundred feet in looking back towards Signal Peak:

It actually looks wide enough here to have had two tracks.
I spent about half the time on the grade walking nice areas like this and the other half skirting the edge of the grade above or below it due to the brush like what you see in the distance.
