Yup and the pin truss bridge came from Yoxall on the UP Boulder Branch and was set in place by the Seabees using a huge fork lift. The turntable bridge came from a building that they had demolished in Denver that had used the turntable sides as roof supports. No, I don't remember the building.
Roy got me up there to fire for him when I worked at Woolco... A job I was happy to quit. Jerry had already claimed the D&RGW long reefer as his summer quarters. I moved into the back side of the depot (where passengers weren't allowed).
Every time the Seabees showed up, we moved a little further toward the West abutment of the High Bridge. First the Pin-Truss bridge, then the Turntable Bridge, then Hall Tunnel, then slowly toward the West Abutment of the High Bridge.
It was fun to watch the progress as well as to be on the first revenue train over any certain section.
