The C&C was built with 30lb rail imported from Rhymney Steel in Wales. When it was abandoned, Norman Clark bought some of it and used it in the original construction of the Roaring Camp & Big Trees in Felton, CA. The 30lb stretched from the old SP Felton Station, through where Roarding Camp was later built and into the Big Trees Grove. This rail stayed in place for many years and was finally replaced in the 1980's. In 1990 when I worked there, there was large pile of old 30lb rail, much of it marked "RHYMNEY STEEL 81". I cut off a couple of sections with that marking.
