I guess I was not specific enough on my question and will rephrase it. Is the highway on the east side the actual old railroad grade. The Ormes map seems to indicate this, but it is kind of a steep road. Second, was the depot at the top. The Colorado Railroad Annual hints in a map that it was at the far south end of Mitchell Park, which is a virtual swampy area. It would not make much sense to build it there as it would not have served any town, roadway or other.
