I got out my copy of Tigges' "Milwaukee Narrow Gauge" and looked up his info on the outside frame locos. They were Baldwins, not Brooks, duh. According to Tigges, when the railroad shutdown for good there were four steam engines that were cut up for scrap in Bellevue including the two Baldwins. Course after 50 years have passed (when Tigges did his research) who knows what the real story is. We could only hope that one of them is sitting in the weeds rusting away on some Cuban Freyere.
P.S. there are a number of photos in his book showing various B&C locos on flat cars coming, and going, and at, the Marquette shops. Seems to have been a favorite photo op in those days.
