Your photo of Tank Creek Tank has helped me learn more about the tank. Round roof confirmed with green tarpaper covering. Thanks for posting the photo.

I always wanted more information about this tank because I never got to see it in place, but while I was assigned to the San Juan National Forest, I had opportunity to stop at Ah Wilderness property
(The private land) south of Tank creek Tank with a D&S upper management individual who had worked for the D&RGW before the Railroad was purchased by Mr. Bradshaw. At one of the structures, we observed the metal Ball from the top of the Water Tank. He commented that it must have been retrieved from the Animas River. I asked why it would have been in the river and he said that the wood tank was tipped over into the river when the D&RGW replaced it with the tank car tank.
